Custom Silicone O Ring Sealing Screws M4 M5 M6 Stainless Steel 316 For Marine Equipment And Boat Fittings Manufacturers, Factories

Sealing screws come with a rubber ring already under the head. Tighten them. The rubber compresses. Water stays out. Dust stays out. No sealant. IP67/IP68 rated. 304 SS, 316 SS, or zinc plated. Phillips pan head, hex washer head, or hex socket. M4 M5 M6.

Product Description

Two screws. One keeps water out. The other does not.

Here is the difference. A regular screw leaves a tiny gap between the head and the surface. Water finds that gap. Dust finds it too. You have to add sealant to block it. Sealing screws have a rubber ring under the head. Tighten them and the ring squishes flat. The gap disappears. No sealant needed.

Where the gap goes

Regular screw heads sit against the surface but do not seal it. That gap is the problem. Sealing screws fix it with a rubber ring that fills the space when compressed.

The rubber ring does the job

No glue. No extra parts. Just a rubber ring. It sits in a groove under the head. When you tighten the screw, it gets squeezed against the surface. That is the seal.

Head types – what each one does

Phillips pan head: the standard. Works with any Phillips screwdriver. Good for most jobs.

Hex washer head: has a flange built in. No extra washer needed. Good for wider clamping.

Hex socket head: takes an Allen key. Good for tight spots.

Q&A

Q What is the biggest advantage of sealing screws?
A No sealant needed. Drive them in and they seal themselves.
Q Can I use one type of sealing screw everywhere?
A You can, but you get better results if you match the rubber and metal to your environment.
Q Are all sealing screws waterproof?
A Only if they have a rubber seal under the head. That is what makes them sealing screws.
Q What happens if I over-tighten a sealing screw?
A The rubber compresses too much and may deform. Tighten until the head sits flush. Do not overdo it.
Q Do you stock all sizes?
A M4, M5, M6 are in stock. Other sizes available on order.
